A quick clip of one of our Thermal hunts in early 2019! Check out how many hogs run off, as well as the monster hog in the very back right corner that runs off after the first shot! We scouted these hogs hard and then baited them even harder where they were continuously in the area every day. We killed a few over bait one day and planned on leaving the spot completely alone that night and decided to hit a few other areas with the thermals. We had a great hunt already, however we decided to go ahead and hit this field one more time on the way back to the lodge. We decided just to check quickly, as soon as we walked over the creek line to the wheat field, all the hogs were right in front of us! There were roughly sixty to seventy wild hogs all within one hundred yards and the closest were within twenty yards! We planned on letting the big boar and the rest of the hogs come in a little closer. About the time we got comfortable, one of the two hundred pound smaller boars came a little too close for comfort, so I had to give the go ahead to lay some pigs down! We killed six in that group, but the big one got away that night! We finished the day with 28 hogs in hand! What a great hog hunt with Western Oklahoma Trophy Outfitters!
